Nice one mate, it’s a shame to see but I suppose it’s the current state of the industry. I recently grabbed a Pro, and even more recently a portal - but I’d be annoyed if I’d have waited it out!!

Effective 2nd April Sony said the increases were "a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide". The changes will see the recommended retail price of the PS5 to £569.99 in the UK - a 19% increase. The PS5 Digital Edition will cost £519.99 (21% increase), while the PS5 Pro will be £789.99 (13% increase). The PlayStation Portal will go up by £20 to £219.99. Source: IGN

Welcome back! Good to see this; the news never really tells us anything positive, but gaming news - now that’s something I can get behind! I stick to IGN for most of my gaming stuff - and occasionally PushSquare. Happy belated birthday! The PS Portal, that’s one I can attest to as well - I love my Portal so far, hope you’re enjoying yours so far if you’ve had chance to use it! The new bitrate update is awesome!!

I’ve put around 6-7 hours into it - a few trophies along the way too, it’s enjoyable as a pick up and play style game, but I’m holding out for Saros! Which leads me to my next post - I’ve pre-ordered Saros, breaking the one rule of not preordering (not my rule though, I suppose!!). After loving Returnal, I’m hyped for it!

Ah the Octavia VRS - what a cracker; I loved my VRS - possibly the best car I've driven. I currently have an EV, which is possibly just as fun to drive due to the acceleration, but nowhere near as enjoyable as the VRS from back in the day!! I've just ordered an Enyaq though so we'll see.... Most recent purchase gaming-wise, is pre-order for Saros (breaking my own rule but I don't think I'll regret it!). Non-gaming purchase - Ninja Airfryer - the XL Stack one; bring on the crispy fries!!

Hey, Thanks for having the courage and strength to post this - so many people don't acknowledge or respect their own mental wellbeing so whilst it's difficult to read and hear of this, it's refreshing to know you're doing something about it; I know I'm 'new' here, but I'm a bit long in the tooth otherwise, so please take good care of yourself and I hope you're able to find some time to rejoin the discussion(s) at some stage. Gaming goals; I'd love to aim for completion, but I think to see a game through would be positive (i.e., actually stick with a game in my backlog!). So I would say my goal is to commit to a game, and to enjoy it enough to play through it despite life's many distractions. I'm going to say that game is...Ghost of Yotei! Personal goals; running - I used to run regularly, only 5km/park runs, but I'd like to get back into it! Some good goals already posted here, so I hope everyone sees some success this year!!

Might be controversial, but I loved the Server Slam - so I went for the Standard Edition pre-order (haven't pre-ordered a game for YEARS). Anyone else playing?!

Great choice! I've not picked up a RE game for a long while, I have 7 from PS Plus many moons ago I think. You enjoying it? I've heard really good things from people playing it on the Pro, apparently it makes really good use of the PSSR. Also - thanks for the kind words and welcomes, seems like a really good forum and glad I've found this, it's great to track progress and trophies, but also to have some real-life chats with likeminded people. Thanks for the warm welcome! It's a job I've done for nearly 20 years now, so I'm a bit long in the tooth I suppose, but I still do it for the love (and the money funds some of my gaming habits!!). Currently playing Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5, making good use of the portal - and Marathon Server Slam was my weekend go-to. How about yourself? :-)

Hi all, I suppose this is the place to post my life update - I'm a busy working dad with two young children, healthcare professional in the UK undertaking a PhD currently, and I'm hugely enjoying my time with the PS5 Pro at the minute having recently grabbed a PS Portal (when time allows!!). Just reading this thread it's nice to see similar minded folks posting life updates - and there's some really cool things on here that I've just read and caught up on, so hello everyone and thanks for designing a welcoming space for people like me.
